Biogas & Farm-Waste Management

Turning Agricultural Waste Into Energy & Fertilizer

The Green Van designs, supplies and implements biogas systems that transform animal manure, crop residues and other organic farm waste into renewable energy and nutrient-rich liquid fertilizer.

Our experience with biogas began in Nepal, where these systems are widely used by farms and rural communities to convert locally available organic waste into a practical source of energy. This experience led us to adapt and develop biogas solutions for agricultural operations in Lebanon and the region.

From ready-to-install systems to fully customized installations, we provide complete solutions including system sizing, technical design, installation, commissioning, training and ongoing support.

From Farm Waste to Renewable Energy

Biogas systems use anaerobic digestion to break down organic material in the absence of oxygen.

Organic Waste
Animal manure, crop residues and suitable organic waste are introduced into the digester.

Anaerobic Digestion
Naturally occurring microorganisms break down the organic material and produce biogas.

Biogas Production
The resulting gas can be used for cooking, heating, water heating or electricity generation depending on the scale and design of the system.

Organic Fertilizer
The digestion process also produces nutrient-rich digestate that can be returned to the farm as a liquid fertilizer.

This creates a circular system where agricultural waste becomes a source of both energy and fertility for the farm.

Turnkey Biogas Kits

Ready-to-install biogas systems for farms and agricultural operations, available in capacities from 2,000 to 10,000 liters.

Systems include the digester and gas storage membrane, filtration, piping, valves, liquid fertilizer outlet and dedicated biogas burner, together with the components required for operation.

Farm-Waste Management

Biogas can form part of a wider farm-waste management strategy combining anaerobic digestion, composting and nutrient recovery.

We assess available manure, crop residues and organic waste and develop practical systems to reduce waste-disposal problems while recovering energy and agricultural inputs.

Customized Biogas Solutions

For larger farms and operations with higher waste volumes or specific energy requirements, we design customized systems according to the available feedstock, required capacity and intended use of the produced biogas.

Custom projects can integrate gas storage, heating, water heating and electricity generation according to the requirements of the operation.

An infographic explaining how biogas systems utilize organic waste like animal manure, food waste, and plant matter to generate renewable energy. The diagram shows components such as biogas stoves, lamps, refrigerators, water heaters, and room heaters powered directly by methane gas from the biogas system, including key accessories like hoses, filters, and regulators. It highlights benefits like no electricity or pump needed, system capacity of 2,000-10,000 liters, and gas output of approximately 750-3,500 liters per day.
